A native of the Caribbean Island of Jamaica, Cynthia has lived in New York for most of her adult life. Her flair for the creative arts started in the fashion arena while attending (F.I.T.) Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Spain and several Caribbean islands and this has enabled her to develop a keen eye for the unique. Since relocating to Chicago, Cynthia attended Harrington College of Design where she participated in architectural studies in Paris and Greece doing comparative studies between American and European building standards. She has also gained additional experience while collaborating with a major interior design firm in Chicago specializing in high-end residential and model apartments. She has a degree in interior design and also a degree in graphic design. In 2006 Cynthia was the featured member for Chicago Chapter of (OBD) Organization of Black Designers for outstanding services provided for mentoring in the field of interior design. Previous work experience includes a long career working in the securities industries, working on Wall Street. Additionally, she worked in the travel industry as a travel consultant comparing and rating hotels, resorts and cruise lines to enhance clients profiles. |
